Tasmania

Home away from home.

Tasmania is the only place I have been where I knew almost immediately that I could live there. Aside from my warm blooded FNQ genes being completely inept at dealing with cold weather, I spend a few weeks each year visiting new locations on this wonderful little island.

What is arguably as magnificent as the island itself is the passionate attitudes many Tasmanians hold towards environmental protection. For an island that takes four hours to drive from one side to the other, there remains a vast expanse of untouched rainforest to explore thanks to the efforts of many inspirational people. One of those being Peter Dombrovskis and his work ‘Wild Rivers’ that remains one of my biggest photography inspirations.
